Empowering Palestinian Entrepreneurs

Here are some of the events that I will be hosting:

  • ESA INVESTOR READINESS PROGRAM (Toulouse, France) – In September 2011 I will lead a 3 day workshop for 15 selected entrepreneurs from the ESA (European Space Agency) incubators. The goal of this workshop is to select the best possible candidates and then to get them ready to meet with investors at the ESA Investment Forum in Harwell, UK on November 2, 2011.
  • FAST-TRACK FUNDING PROGRAMME (Dusseldorf, Germany) – In September 2011 we will start a Fast-Track programme that will have a focus on Cleantech companies from the NRW region of Germany. The goal of this programme is to select the best candidates for investment from the region and to prepare them for pitching to investors at the European Venture Summit in Dusseldorf at the end of November 2011.
  • FAST-TRACK FUNDING PROGRAMME (Flanders, Belgium) – In September 2011 we will kickoff a Fast-Track programme that will have a focus on ICT companies from the Flanders region of Belgium. The goal of this programme is to select the best candidates for investment from the region and to prepare them for pitching to investors at the European Venture Summit in Dusseldorf at the end of November 2011.
  • EMPOWERING PALESTINE ENTREPRENEURS – Rick Salmon will be leading three different training sessions and workshop series in Palestine. This is a program that is run through EBN (European Business Incubator Network) and funded by the EIB (European Investment Bank). The purpose of these workshops and training sessions it to help entrepreneurs at incubators in Palestine to get access to seed capital. The program will last from August 2011 until March 2012 and involve three trips.
  • CONNECT NORWAY – SEMINAR ON INTERNATIONALIZATION – Oslo, Norway – February 28, 2011.   Rick Salmon will be one of the keynote speakers at this event that focuses on internationalization for Norwegian startup companies. Click here for more information.
  • FOUNDING EVENT – EUROPEAN VENTURE CLUB – Lisbon, Portugal – February 23-25, 2011.   Rick Salmon will be one of the facilitators for the founding event for the European Venture Club. For more information click here.
  • CONNECT NORWAY SPRINGBOARD PITCH – Rick Salmon will present CapsTECHNOLOGY to a group of invited investors and business partners. The event will take place at the Law offices of Selmer, Tjuvholmen allé 1, Oslo at 09:00

  • EVS – EUROPEAN VENTURE SUMMIT – Xelerator and Europe Unlimited will be presenting their Fast-Track Funding Programme at the EVS in Dusseldorf. Rick Salmon will be a panel expert and will helping some of the 30 current Fast-Track entrepreneurs with networking and meetings at the conference.

  • WORKSHOP – INCREASED SALES – Rick Salmon led a 1-day workshop for a group of 40 people who work with ASVL companies (providing work for people with physical and mental handicaps)  in southern Norway.

  • ACCELERATED BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT for Italian Startups – Rick Salmon held a 1-day workshop for the University of Palermo master program and then a 1-day technical review session at the ARCA incubation center in Palermo (Sicily), Italy.

  • EEVC SEMI FINAL HEALTHCARE – Rick Salmon presented CapsTechnology (www.capstechnology.com) to investors from the health-care industry at the Europe Unlimited event in Denmark. CapsTechnology is a Norwegian startup company that has developed and patented a bottle cap for liquid medicine and healthcare products that gives an exact dosage (i.e., 10ml) each time and eliminates measuring spoons, measuring cups and other costly packaging.
    September 7, 2010 – Århus, Denmark
  • Fast-Track Funding (North Rhine Westphalia) – 8 month acceleration program for 15 technology companies from the NRW (Dusseldorf) region. 9 experts will also participate in this program that includes a kickoff seminar, 5 webinars, 5 triad coaching sessions, homework assignments, pitch practice for investors and participation in a major European Venture event. This is a joint venture with Europe Unlimited (www.e-unlimited.com).
